Extra Boleyn game called off
Ckub have decided against it. Good

And it's annoying me how the focus has been on it being sexist and not wanting the ladies to play when the real reason is simply just wanting the game billed as the final one to remain exactly that

People can go to the GOSH vs WHU Legends game if they want to do that though. Funny how the official site isn't pushing that one as a final game isn't it?

Why do we think that is?

Don't understand anyone who had a problem with this. The ladies team gets little support as it is, it wasn't costing anything and unlikely to have been massively attended.
It's just prevented people who wanted to go into the ground one last time from getting the chance as well as making fans look self centered and petty.

I'm disappointed the club even felt it needed a poll and even more disappointed they've given in to a minority of selfish fans.

I'm answering posts out to me Marston. I could say you're upset it's not going ahead the amount of posts you're making wondering why others didn't want it to go ahead.

Fair enough, I dread to think how much you'd be banging on about it if you were upset.

Re: Extra Boleyn game called off
Not many people apart from the board who clearly thought they could ride on it and hawk another game on people as a child's plaything.

Not happening now so no point getting wound up by it.

West Ham have played their last game there, haven't they?

Who gives a toss what happens afterwards?

I'm not upset about it.

And you didn't need to log in to vote, you just happened to be browsing the official site.

Is it worth getting upset over? Is it even worth logging on to a website to vote?

Don't understand why any grown man would give a shit about this.

Yes Face, as that's not exploiting fans or the emotion of leaving the Boleyn for their own game.

I'm not calling him a liar Ern, you're better than that.

So you're alright with any event put on for fans and local teams, but just so long as the daren't advertise it as the final event?

IT'S MY BALL AND I'M GOING HOME.

Re: Extra Boleyn game called off
He did an interview saying the last league game would be there last game. I'm on my phone so can't dig it out. It was off the back of Noble's testimonial being talked up as the final game there.

There are ALWAYS behind closed door games for charity or otherwise every season and this is no different.

The club however shouldn't have been pushing a final game as they promised there wouldn't be one.

Re: Extra Boleyn game called off
THE last game was obviously Utd, could not give a shit about fun/charity games, let it be

Give even less of a shit about birds football, dont see why we need be involved, they want to play fine, go find somewhere to do it but dont fanny about in a proper blokes football club.

Re: Extra Boleyn game called off
No, one because I've already said other behind closed doors games don't actually bother me and two the board didn't market it as the FINAL GAME despite promising the last league game would be the last game - the last game they'd push at fans anyway.

Nice try though.

As I said if they were that desperate to give people another opportunity to go, push the actual charity match between WHU Legends and GOSH. Don't push a game the son of the chairman has been "working on" to get a load of divvy reality TV stars and probably him to have a jolly up there.

They've appreciated and understood that now hopefully thus they've called the game off. Good, as far as I'm concerned.

When did they promise Man U was the last game? I thought it was always planned there would be other games.

West Ham board allow child to arrange a final game after promising fans the last league home game would be the last game. Lying to fans is good.
